058 Monica Ashour: Humanae Vitae and Theology of the Body

On Tuesday, July 24, 2018, hosts Trey and Stephanie Cashion were pleased to welcome Monica Ashour, from the Theology of the Body Evangelization Team, to review, first, the central points of Humanae Vitae. She then went on to explain how Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body raised the encyclical's conclusions to an even higher level.  Humanae Vitae demonstrated that the twin, inseperable ends of sexuality are union and procreation. Theology of the Body goes further to suggest that at stake in the right use of human sexuality is the chance for the spouses to experience the real joy and love on offer by not cheating themselves or their beloved out of the chance for a full, free, fair, and fruitful embrace by the couple.  Enjoy the episode, take a moment to like us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter.
