On Tuesday January 14, Trey talked with regular guest Monica Ashour about the recently-published book, From the Depths of our Hearts: Priesthood, Celibacy, and the Crisis of the Catholic Church, by Robert Cardinal Sarah and Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. They specifically dove into why celibacy in the Catholic Church exists, and the reality of the grace that God gives to people who are called to live that life. Monica tied the conversation into the Theology of the Body and spoke about each vocation—single, married, religious— and how they all have a spousal meaning for the body. We are all gifts and giving the gift of self is what gives us actual meaning and satisfaction. Check out more about the Theology of the Body here.
