On Tuesday, June 23, Trey Cashion was back in the studio, after a long hiatus, to talk about and reflect on the time under lockdown orders due to the Coronavirus pandemic and the resultant separation from people. He talked about the significance of being in the presence of another person, especially the Person of Christ. Zoom, Instagram, and Facebook Live to name a few, are great sources of technology to help us connect with others, but they simply aren’t the same as being around people physically. Trey also discussed the loss of being able to attend Mass and the deeper understanding he came to that humans are created and meant to be in communion with others and with Jesus, and the Mass is the best way to do this. He talked about his sadness in not being able to attend, but also his gratitude for realizing the importance of the Mass and spending quality, intentional time with family. Listen to this episode to hear his beautiful reflection and new realizations. You might just have some things in common! And remember to pray, parent with a purpose, and prepare for God to amaze you, and He will!
