On Tuesday, September 1, host Trey Cashion followed up on the last episode about the Apostolic Exhortation, Complete My Joy, by Bishop Olmstead of the Diocese of Phoenix. (Check out the full exhortation here!) In this episode, Trey talked about the mission of the family, and the role of parents and marriage. He discussed parental authority being similar to the authority of the Church, and how that authority is not to be abused. Rules and regulations are in place for our good and safety, not to be a nuisance. Trey used the analogy of sports – all sports have rules, and those rules help the game run smoothly. The same is true in the family and in the Church. The rules are in place for our ultimate good, in the family, as well as in the Church. Listen to this episode to hear a great conversation about authority in the family and the Church! Remember to pray, parent with a purpose, and prepare for God to amaze you, and He will!
