Mystery of Parenthood, April 12th, 2017

The Mystery of Parenthood is a show on RED-C Catholic Radio, headquartered in College Station, Texas. On 04-12-17, show host Trey Cashion discussed the first attribute of what it means to be "One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Family." Citing paragraph 2204 in the Catechism, Trey noted that the family is intended to be a "community of faith, hope, and love." That is a significant reason why it is properly understood as the "domestic church." Spouses should let their marital relationship be the centerpiece of the family as they strive to participate in the unity of God and the mystery of the Trinity. Spouses should also remember that parents are burdened with the responsibilityof showing the unity of the Church to their children through their steadfast committment to one another in the sacrament. Remember to pray, parent with a purpose, and prepare for God to amaze you!
