The Mystery of Parenthood is a show on RED-C Catholic Radio, headquartered in College Station, Texas. On August 2, 2017, host Trey Cashion meditated on the need for commitment in sustaining marriages and families. He especially spent time looking at how the vanishing of commitment in aspects of American society points in part to why those considering marriage are loath to make the decision. Commitment entails a permanent eschewing of other paths and possibilities in order to give one's whole life to one, and only one, other.
